I attended an incredible Kickboxing Tournament in Mbare, in Harare. Mbare is a high-density, southern suburb of Harare hosted by The Kick-boxing Association of Zimbabwe.
Their headquarters is in the city centre but they hold the tournament at a community centre in Mbare. The tournament was well supported by the community, and those who could afford the entry fee of $2USD paid to come in and watch while the rest watched the proceedings from over the wall. Its amazing how activities like these can bring together a community.
