Fungai & Verity recently held an engagement party hosted by Albert Chimedza at The Mbira Centre in Highlands. The night was one filled with song, dance and poetry and Cde Fatso was the MC. The night had no fixed program, just friends of the couple a lot of them who are musicians, coming up with performances. Some of the artists who performed were Victor Kunonga, Tariro Negitare, Edith WeUtonga, Clare Nyakujara, Tinashe Makura, Selmor Mutukudzi & Tendai Manatsa. Larry Kwirirayi also did an impromptu poetry piece.
I have nothing but respect for Fungai, I admire his work ethic & so happy that he has found love! One of the highlights of the day was Verity’s rendition of “All Of Me” by John Legend on the violin she dedicated to Fungai. Makorokoto!
