Junior Achievement Zimbabwe(JAZ) is a non profit organization that is dedicated to Youth development, Education development and Economic development. Barclays Bank donated $65 132 USD to JAZ. This was the official presentation. The day started off with the school kids from different schools coming in to do a few activities. They were put it into groups and asked to write down their dreams and aspirations. It was exciting to note how big their dreams. Later on the Barclays team led by CEO George Guvamatanga and the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Lazarus Dokora who was the guest of honor conducted a ceremony where the cheque was handed over to the JAZ President. In Minister Dokora’s speech he commended Barclays on their efforts towards the youth of Zimbabwe and also appealed to other financial institutions and corporates to follow suit. He also pleaded for help with the rebuilding of the education system for those affected by the Mutokwe- Mukorsi disaster.
